College Graduation Time! University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, School of Nursing 2021

It's crazy to think that just one short week ago, we were getting super excited for a weekend full of graduation festivities.

Last Friday, we headed down to Belton, TX for Sarah's college graduation activities.  We pulled the new camper, and the excitement grew with each passing mile.

University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, School of Nursing ~

There are too many photos to post, way too many to share, so I will just pick a few of my favorites.

Friday night was the school of nursing pinning ceremony in the football stadium.

I am that mom!  I started tearing up as soon as we pulled into the parking lot.

Wasn't it yesterday that we dropped her off for the start of her freshman year??

There's a handful of nursing graduates standing up in the next photo.  Sarah is there with a pony tail.  See her? These nurses were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses!!

Oh my gosh, y'all!  Such a proud Mom and Dad moment!

Afterward, there were lots of happy hugs and then a night out on the town for nursing students and their parents/ significant others :)

(Sarah and her daddy were dancing together)

On Saturday, we went out for lunch and had some delicious Texas brisket at Miller's Smokehouse in Belton.

We had a double-graduate celebration.  We have two graduates in the house, a college and a high school graduate.

Afterward, some of the kids went swimming in the lake while we waited for the commencement ceremony that evening.

Saturday evening was the big night!

Summa Cum Laude

All of her incredibly hard work, persistence, and diligence paid off.  We are so proud of her and her accomplishments!  The next step is a new job.  She will be a nurse working at Baylor / Dallas in the neuro ICU!

Mother's Day weekend doesn't get much better then this! :)

Sunday was Mother's Day.  We were able to attend Mass together at the parish Sarah had been attending while at school.  In fact, she and Emma's boyfriend, who is stationed in Fort Hood, would attend Sunday Mass together each week.

I mentioned before how they have an awesome priest.  She is going to miss that parish and the priest.

These four were asked to carry up the gifts.  I thought that was a wonderful way to end the weekend and especially with it being Sarah's last Sunday mass there as a member!

After Mass, we packed up and got back on the road for the trip home.  The celebrating wasn't over! The very next day, we would be celebrating Miss Mabel's high school graduation with a Baccalaureate Mass.  That'll be the next post! :)

May God bless all graduates this year!  May you always know how much Jesus loves you and wants you close to him in the Sacraments.  May you always be a shining light for others.
