Old McDonald

I wish I lived on a farm!

We've been looking for land, but it is SUPER CRAZY COSTLY in our neck of the woods.  We live in North Texas, and let's just say the population has exploded.

Check out these census numbers for the city I live in ::

2000 Census = 54,369

2010 Census = 131, 117

Current 2016 population count = 148,559

Nuts, isn't that??  And we don't like it.  But the land sellers are G.R.E.E.D.Y.  Crazy greedy.  Asking way too much.  And the buyers keep buying.  Except us.

So we wait.

We wait and  live vicariously through our friends who have land.  Penny is boarded on some friends' property.  We took Grammy out to meet her and had fun checking out the other animals.

There's the turkeys, the chickens, and guineas.

New baby lambs.

Isn't that newborn baby lamb little??  So cute!

The next photo?  It's SO rare, I had to memorialize the moment ;)  Ha ha.

And Penny of course, (sportin' a new accessory ;)

We've been having so much fun with Grammy as she visit us here in Texas!

Hoping your week is going smoothly,

~  Patty ~

  3. Sweet pictures! Good luck on your quest. Land shopping is fun and frustrating, hoping there is a gem for you hiding out there!
The Houston area has exploded too. The area we moved from had those crazy growth numbers but the infastrcture couldn't keep up and it's hard to drive through the little rural community with all the traffic. It's crazy how many people are moving to Texas!

There is some land for sale near me. ;)

  6. Hi Patty! That horse can truly rock a bow!!
How fun to share your life with Grammy these days. I know she's having a wonderful time with you, and getting out of this winter-like Spring we're having here in Illinois.

Bummer on the land thing. Wow, your town is just exploding! It must be a very desirable place to live, so you know when you go to sell, you shouldn't have any trouble at all. That's good right? I know you're patience will pay off someday!

    Blessings,
    Ceil
