National Sibling Day

I didn't know National Sibling Day existed until I saw it on social media today.  (Who thinks of these things??)

So, without further ado...

This is my mom (my dad passed away in 2006) with all of her 9 children at a family wedding last fall.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED being raised with all of these siblings!  What a joyful blessing :)

(I was the middle, numero cinco.)

  1. Hi Patty! I put up a photo of my sibs on my family FB page (Cecilia Dacquisto) too. I have been immensely blessed to have grown up in a house full of these wacky, graced, and talented people. My photo isn't as good as yours, but it was also taken at a family wedding. I guess that's the time that far-flung sibs come together to celebrate.

Loved your photo, especially getting to 'meet' your mom!

    1. I'll look you up! I'm only on blog and FB. I'm afraid the other stuff would have me way too distracted. It's bad enough already ;)

    1. We sure do, Margaret! It isn't often enough, either. So many people, so many different directions. Most of us will be together at Thanksgiving time when my mom turns 75. :)

  3. You are one of 9??? I didn't know that. That's fabulous. I just love my siblings. I had never heard of this day either, but it sure seems right to have one.

    1. It sure was and still is! Although, with all the in-laws and grandchildren, things get hairy!

  5. How wonderful and truly blessed you all are! You all look close in age. What's the range?

    1. Mom had 4 in 4 years. 18 months later I came along. Then 2 years and 2 years again #'s 6 & 7 came along. There was a short 4 year break before #8 arrived and then 1 year later #9 made his appearance ;)
