What's for Sunday dinner?

I am trying a new recipe, thanks to the suggestion of a friend of mine.

Baked Ham and Cheese Party Sandwiches (with a dijon mustard sauce).  They look SO EASY that I may serve them for a small get together we are having next week after Miss Ester's 8th grade graduation.

I'm giving the recipe a try tomorrow and will let you know what I think :)

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday.  Wishing you a blessed Sunday!

  1. I make those for parties, too. Everyone in my house loves them, except, oddly, my husband. Even the kids who don't like mustard. I always use the small Hawaiian buns. Yum.

    1. PS We are having the first chicken grill out of the year. My mother-in-law is coming for dinner and we'll have spring risotto (risotto with asparagus and peas) and sauteed summer squash and onions to go with. My husband is begging for a berry pie. I'm not sure how the knee will hold up, but I'll go down trying!

  2. I've made those before and they are so yummy! Great to freeze too if you wrap in foil then can warm up in the oven. 😊

    1. Oh! So glad to hear this! I wanted to keep things easy since we will have people here as soon as we walk in the door from Mass.

  4. Hi Patty! My mom used to make these sandwiches! They are a real crowd pleaser, I think you'll be pleased with them. And it's nice that you have a plan for a crowd too :)
    Hope you love them!

  5. We tried these a few months ago and found them kind of rich...good but rich. I think it was too much butter or mustard...not sure. We try new recipes all the time and Tom and the kids try to rate them 1-10 10 being best. If it gets a 6 or lower, I probably won't make it again. I remember this having 6's and 7's. Borderline...anxious to see what you thought! :)
