Stan the man turned the BIG 0 - 9 yesterday!
He is a Lego fanatic. (I wouldn't be surprised if he studies engineering some day!)
His good buddy spent the day with us :)
They were outside in the G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. weather all day. (He loves his new Razor Scooter :)
David gave him a new rod & reel for their camping trips.
October 4 is also the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a well known and well loved saint. An animal lover as well!
St. Francis loved ALL of God's creatures, great and small. There are many stories about how St. Francis could talk to and even command the wild animals. One story, in particular, that Stan loves is St. Francis and The Wolf.
So he decided to have a wolf cake!
He picked out a wolf cake (cupcake cake) on Pinterest and we had a bakery make it for us. Didn't it turn out GREAT?!
It is so AWESOME to have a birthday on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi!
Like any typical kid, Stan the man can get PRETTY excited waiting for his birthday. The day before is usually prime time ;) So I had found a fun St. Francis of Assisi activity he could work on to pass the time.
I found the idea over at Catholic Inspired.
I saved the print as a PDF file on my USB drive, took it to an office supply store, and had them print off a sheet on quality card stock in color.
I didn't have the right size popsicle sticks on hand, but I think it still turned out pretty good.
I pulled out a couple of other resources from past years for the kids...
Happy birthday, Little Man! Wishing you abundant blessings throughout the year! We love you!
