Mi Amigo Gecko

Stan the man was walking in the hallway (to our bedroom) when he looked up to find this little gecko in the ceiling light fixture.

Events like this trigger my sleep walking.

I think they are cute - when found outside the house.

I'll try to fall sleep thinking happy thoughts this evening.  God help me!

  1. SO, I have all these questions, like if he were in there for long, would he get fried by the light bulb?...and could he get out on his own? Was he going for the bugs in the light?

I guess at least he wasn't a scorpion...those things are already giving me nightmares...

    1. Scorpions are an entirely different nightmare! Lol
I've only come across one, and it wasn't by my house.

  2. EEK!

I'm wondering if these trigger nightmares in my TX friends the same way the thought of winter snows trigger mine?

    1. Yyyyeeeessss! Others don't seem to mind them, but I don't like the idea of finding one in my house. And how the heck did he get into this light fixture that was snug to the ceiling? Through the attic? Which begs the question, are there more inside? Ugh

  3. Hi Patty! I feel the same way you do. For a while there, we were getting birds. They made their way down the furnace stack. I'd go downstairs to do laundry, and YIKES!! I felt like Tippi Hendren, only not as calm. EEK. I hope you slept well?

  4. When we lived in TX I made friends with the geko that ate bugs outside my kitchen window. One night I happened to be there when it grabbed hold of a firfefly. The inside of the geko lit up, it dropped the bug, and I stood there amazed. Will probably never witness's that again in my life!
