Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

 Adding the butterscotch to these gingerbread cookies just took yummy to an all new level!

~ Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies ~

Ingredients ::

3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
3/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/3 cup mild molasses
1 large egg
1 2/3 cups (11 ounce) package of Butterscotch flavored morsels

Directions ::

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2.  In a medium size bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.

3.  In a mixing bowl, beat sugar, butter, molasses, and egg until creamy.  Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended.  Stir in morsels.  Drop by rounded tbsp onto ungreased baking sheets.

4.  Bake for 11 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.  Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes 4 - 5 dozen cookies
