So proud of this young lady and all of the hard work she put into her home education the past 9 years!!!
A Baccalaureate Mass was held last Friday at 4pm for seven home school "classmates" from our home school group.
It was such a special, private Mass!
All of the kids participated.
(She read the Responsorial Psalms during Mass.)
(Father speaking to the graduates during the homily.)
(Diplomas! After the final blessing of Mass.)
After the Mass, we walked over to the church hall for a small cake reception. The kids had a good time visiting with one another :)
(Our home school group's name is Ave Maria.)
(The oldest and youngest Hughes grandchildren - meeting for the first time!)
David's niece (above) is finishing up the last weeks of her Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
She was in Dallas for a colleague's wedding, and spent time with us last Friday!
We were excited to meet her little daughter for the first time (see below).
(His niece, great-niece, and David.)
Early Saturday morning, Sally and I flew out to Washington D.C. for a graduation trip. F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. time together, celebrating 9 hard years of home education.
I think I overwhelmed her senses with everything we saw.
More to come!
