Swim Party - Weekend Rewind

Friday ~

Our annual Little Flowers - Little Women  tea party  swim party &  luncheon.

I tried to get a group shot of all of our little ladies ( minus one ).  They are amazing young ladies in the making!!

And here is one of the mothers ( minus one )...

(Some more of the greatest,  home schooling women  I know AND  blessed to call friends!)

After an hour of splashing in the pool, we all feasted on a yummy lunch prepared by the Little Flowers and Little Women.

The day ended with some fun games to play.  One in particular...

Pass the Parcel Game.

As in hot potato - the kids pass a package, and when the music stops  the child caught holding the parcel rips off the top piece of wrapping paper.  There is a set of directions that the child must follow....bringing lots of giggles.

I.E.

While blind folded, feed a cupcake or cookie to a friend.

So cute!

I.E.

Jump up and down 20 times while holding a cup of water on your head.

The object of the game is to pass the package till a bazillion pieces of wrappers with instruction are torn off and to win the final wrapped "prize".  (i.e. candy or  lip gloss ).

* I am kicking myself for not getting a picture of the projects the Little Women worked on all year long.

The Little Women each worked on putting together a baby layette for the White Rose Women's Center (A Crisis Pregnancy Center).

They did such a beautiful job!!   Each packaged layette was gathered together with loving hearts and hands.

Works of Charity in action!

So glad my girls are part of these Catholic programs!

  2. I am envious that you have such a great Catholic moms community. We don't have anything like that here.

    1. I wish all Catholic homeschooling moms had a community like the ones I have been blessed with. I can imagine how hard and lonely it would be if it weren't for these support systems.

  3. Hi Patty, you do have a lovely group of young girls who are growing up in the faith. They will be pillars of faith for us all! I'm not familiar with Little Women but I do love the idea that you were working on a baby layette for a crisis pregnancy center. May God bless your faithful and serving hearts!

    1. Thank you, Noreen. Another mother came up with the layette gift sets...and the Little Women truly enjoyed putting them together piece by piece throughout the year!
