How Do You Display Your Christmas Cards?

I usually tape them to the closet doors, but this year I saw a different way to display on .... yup, Pinterest.

Clothes pin them to ribbon you taped on  cupboard doors (or in my case, closet door.)  I found a bag of wooden clothes pins at Walmart for under $1.

As I type this, it is Saturday, December 15, and I still haven't ordered mine.  With baby, everything is taking longer this year :)

Don't you just enjoy receiving your Christmas cards in the mail?

Advent blessings ~

  1. That's funny, I saw that on Pinterest too and that's how I'm displaying this year :) I'm actually doing it on my kitchen cupboards vs. the door going down to the basement this year. This way they serve as decoration and I also get to see those cute faces on the photo cards more often.
My only problem is that I used fun-tack to hold the ribbon on the back of my cupboard and I'm not sure if it is the weight of the cards or the clothespins that makes some of the ribbon keep falling down when I open the doors. Nothing like cards in your face when you open the door! lol.

    1. Hi Sarah,

I just used masking tape to hold the ribbon in the inside. Not very pretty, but the closet door usually is closed anyway. My issue now is keeping Little Miss away from them :)

  2. Looks great, Patty! I am loving Pinterest for ideas as well. And getting Christmas cards! Have a wonderful week, friend...

  3. Oh cute. I saw a painted sign which read "merry mail" with the same ribbon idea mounted to the sign and on a wall or door. Love pinterest too! Keep sharing!

  4. great idea ! thanks for sharing. I used to set our out on the dining room table. This year, we are not so organized !! :)

  5. hmmmm...guess this would be better than just leaving them in their envelopes on the kitchen counter, huh? We'll see if I get around to this!

  6. I have a friend in SC that doesn't send out Christmas Cards/letters, she sends them out for Valentine's! Although last year I think it was more like Easter! :)

  7. I did this for a couple of years, then I ran out of room but I never had it go all the way to the floor because of little hands! Now I use little clips to hang them to some twine across a window, but I need more clips!

Thanks for stopping by!
