For God

Today I am thankful for....

~ lines from a poem that a friend wrote...

Faith Awaits
Work
Devotion
Trial
Opportunity

To grow stronger
In God
With God
For God

No Fear
Just Purpose
With Love
In Peace

I thought this post would be almost impossible to write after last night's tragedy, but when I read my email this morning, I found  these words and that they brought peace to  my heart.  I pray it does for you as well.

    1. So many faith-filled words are needed. ARen't you glad we live in the south? Well, you in the Dixie part of the states and I, in Texas. Try to get a good night sleep tonight, Mary!

    1. Yes, Jen, we will get through it by the Grace of God and his beautiful gifts of faith, hope, and love! (But it is going to get harder I'm afraid.)

    1. Gosh, Valerie. I was thinking of you on your couch recovering and praying that you didn't have to watch the "news" the entire day waiting to see what was happening. Torture. Don't ever lose sight of the big picture, the one that really counts!

  5. Thank you Patty for sharing this. I have been finding peace in those friends, family and online friends that share the same convictions. May peace and blessings be with you always. God bless.

    1. Jackie, how terribly difficult it is. I know you are so strong in your faith, so remember, this IS the year of faith. Talk about testing one's faith, huh? You keep doing what is best and know you never shamed your children!

  6. What a lovely poem! It is true that I definitely feel a stronger purpose as we go forward with a choice I did not make. I am SO thankful for the internet to read many articles today that lifted my spirit. I could hardly get schooling done because I just needed to keep reading to find comfort...God provides in so many ways. We are not alone and that is such a blessing. Peace, my friend!

    1. I actually went to bed last night at peace (and with a headache). I knew that God has the ultimate say so. This is just a blip to Him. The Big picture is what counts. Keep planting your seeds and arming your children with the armor of faith! They are the next "great generation"! I truly believe it :) Beside, the other side is to busy contracepting their future away.
