Swim Team

Sally  has enjoyed making new friends since joining the swim team last spring.

(With the girls that showed up today, last day of the summer schedule.)

She swims for Metro Aquatics and is on the home school division/team.  They've been training 1.5 hours each day this summer at an outdoor facility.

(That's a 50- meter Olympic size lap pool.)

Cooper Fitness Center is a state-of-the art fitness center.  It's absolutely gorgeous!  I asked Sally the other day how practice was...

Sally ::  Hard!  We had to swim a 1200 meter im as a warm-up!

I don't know how athletes do it.

Swimming with friends, though, makes it more fun :)

There is a big meet this weekend.  A 'Best Times' meet.  They basically will be racing against their own personal times in the various events.

Then we get a two week swim break.

The fall schedule starts back up the end of August.  (This pool is heated November-March.)

In the meantime, we will look forward to the down time.  She has definitely earned it!
