My Happy Week

Because there is SO MUCH unhappiness in our news these days...(I even went inactive on FB for awhile)...I wanted to focus on the good.

My little friend, Mr. Hummingbird, finally returned!

A big brother's love.

Root beer floats in the summertime.  Yum!

A happy, (just turned 5 months old), baby!

(I also like her serious side.)

A tummy sleeper who finally sleeps on her back.  (The art of rolling over has woken me up at 1am, 3am, 5am...for the past two weeks :)

Someone who loves to play with her toes.

Yes, Clementine, I'm talking about you :)

Six Flags with four of my favorite people in the world :)

Six Flags has a great reading program for K-6.  Free tickets and a free teacher ticket.  (Just had to pay for Sally's.)

The big bummer (at least down here in Texas) ...  they can only be used from mid-June to mid - August.... the hottest time of the year!

It was Hot!  Hot!  Hot!  The air temperature was around 103 ... now imagine how hot it was on all that black top.  Yowzer!

~Free ice water was given out - we drank a 12oz cup of water after each ride.

~Plenty of shade, benches, and water misters to be found.

~Paid $5 more to park in preferred parking, next to the entrance.  So totally worth it, especially at the end of  a 9 hour day in that heat!

Southern Butter Pecan coffee creamer.  Delicious!

Here's to you, hoping you are finding happiness in your week!

And I have to share....I have a humming bird nest on a tree outside my bedroom window!!! It's soooo tiny and sooooo NEAT!!! I tried to get a picture, but the nest is hard to make out in the pictures... It's been a delight! Take care and God Bless!

  3. "Amen" to focusing on the good! After all, God is good all the time, regardless of the pits in our stomachs from what's going on in the world. I keep telling myself that we are not made for this world... I just adore the photo of your sweetie playing with her toes:) And those root beer floats look divine~Great idea! Those Six Flags smiles are priceless:-)

  4. Hooray for Happy Week! I so enjoyed reading about it and a welcome change to all the negative that surrounds and bombards us.

What wonderful photos that made me smile. Sweet Clementine, you make me smile and want to kiss those little cheeks (please do so for me, Patty, ok?). Sounds like fun at Six Flags, but not that heat! I'm muddling through with the 93 we had the last two days. I don't know how you do it!
I have tried that creamer and LOVED it. Which makes me think...I don't think I have had it in a while. Better put it on the grocery list :)

    Have a great weekend!

  5. Can you even begin to imagine how hot Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were inside their costumes?! What an amazing day you must have had! Keep focusing on the good...amazing how little babies help with that, isn't it?!

    1. Heather, I was thinking the EXACT thing about the costumes!! They only let them out for 10 minutes than escorted the characters back inside.
