Double Dip on Sacraments

We have a beautiful day to celebrate today...Stan's baptismal birthday and Mabel's First Communion.

We were looking back over Stan's baptismal pictures and, if you don't mind, I thought I'd share them with you all.   (Because they are so darn cute!)

Stan came home to us at 6 months of age and was baptized on Pentecost Sunday at 8 months old.

His baptismal outfit was a hand-me-down, baby blue checkered, linen bib-overall set. I had purchased a handsome, white dress shirt to go underneath.

(Sorry about the blur!)

He never made a peep but kept an eagle eye on Fr. Chuck!

A very close eye!

Until Father crossed the line and picked Stan up to present him to the congregation.

Let's just say that Father's traditional walk around the church to meet and greet the newest member was abbreviated!

Stan's godparents are on each end of this next photo.

Poor little man still wasn't sure what was happening!

These next ones are of Stan with his grandparents...Grammy and Poppy on top and Grandma & Grandpa Bill on the bottom.

Fast forward to this morning...

We gave him a small statue of St. Michael...his favorite saint!  And  I'm sure the sword and cape play a big factor in his choice!

Oh happy day!

Now onto finishing final touches for  Mabel's First Communion.

  4. MS' confirmation name is Michael, and he has (what looks like) the same statue! I think I've said this before, but I love that you celebrate the anniversary of the kids' baptism!
