Our Week In Review 10/8/10

Home Economics:

The Ester and Sally baked cherrio bars for a couple of their cousins who are away at college.

Sally has been giving Mabel crocheting lessons...once a week.  It was her birthday gift to Mabel.

Art:  Mabel made the Halloween cards to go with those care packages for the cousins.

Science:

Two kiddos on antibiotics for sinus infections.  (They are feeling so much better though!)

David worked on some inventing and engineering.  He made a "homemade" cross between a bow and a slingshot for the kids to do some target shooting with.

Religion:  So many mothers out there have so many fabulous faith ideas in teaching and living faith at home.  I cannot keep up, but we do try to study a saint or two each month.

This month, we studied the Memorial of the Guardian Angels (Oct. 2) and the feast of St. Francis of Assisi (Oct. 4), which fell on Stan's birthday.

I found these two books from Catholic Mosaic that went along with our studies: My Guardian Dear and The Good Man of Assisi

Field Trips
We toured the birth place of Pres. Eisenhower
Walked amongst the dinosaurs
On Saturday, we will be doing Hike for Life TX!

Used our home school student passes to the Texas State Fair...LOTS of photos to come this weekend.

We have enjoyed the absolute, hands-down, very best school vacation that we all can remember!  I feel completely refilled, refreshed and ready to rock once more.   Whew!

Please join in for more fun at Jen's...Forever, For Always, No Matter What...
