I Like Ike!

And I love field trips!  To see and touch...it only enhances the learning experience.

On Saturday, Sally and I headed north about 60 miles, to Denison, Texas.  We went to the birthplace of President Eisenhower.

Sally briefly studied him in history last year.  What a great military leader he was!

He would have turned 120 this October 14!

They had a chicken coop in the backyard.  Look at the colors of these handsome fellas...

She and I enjoyed a little one-on-one time as well.  The weather was gorgeous and we even stopped for an ice cream on the way back :)
