Especially Sally after a long & hard swim team practice.
Well...
A couple of weeks ago, my family was taken over by a serious bout of flatulence! What is that?
Flatulence :: The state of having excessive intestinal or stomach gas. (A definite cause for social embarrassment!!)
And I wasn't excluded. I had enough when our Sunday dinner became a well orchestrated symphony offarting gas.
That when I realized the jumbo box of protein bars that I picked up at Sam's Club was actually fiber bars. Yeah. I won't make that mistake again, (even though the kids thought it was hysterical!)
Sigh....and life goes on.

After suffering from "issues" after pushing out 7 babies, I am always looking for more ways to get fiber into my diet to stay regular. Needless to say, we've experienced the same bouts of flatulence here. Oh well...at least you know that everything is working as it should!
ReplyDeleteOh Patty! That happened to us too! I never looked to see how much fiber was in some bars I got. And they were good! Just think of the memories you made. Just think..."Remember that time mom bought those fiber bars and we went nuts at dinner that one night?!" Ha Ha : )
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness! I am laughing so hard right now! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love it. Fiber, protein, same difference. ha! I am a huge fan of the big box Fiber One bars from Sam's. I have to say that I don't think they have that effect on me. Hmm..should I be worried?
ReplyDeleteEither way, those bars or Fiber One bars are yum, yum, yummy. I have to put them up high were certain members of the family can't reach them lest I end up with none.
Patty, we love those bars...with fiber! LOL Not that we need more flatulence around our house, but they are yummy! We have to hide them too lest little hands get a hold of them!
ReplyDeleteOH, my gosh, we call those "Fiber One Farts"!! If you happen to accidentally have 2 of them in one day, you will have the runs!! My husband and his partner and his brothers plan when they eat those Fiber One Bars--they take about 4 hours to react...and they "get eachother" TMI? Sorry.
ReplyDeleteYou brought it up.
My husband also likes these protein bars though....I'll have to try them I guess.
(Fiber one's do taste like candy though, don't they? They work well if you eat one at bedtime, then you'll have no probs in the morning!)
I grew up with five brothers. My hubs is one of four "boys" in his family. I know EXACTLY what you are talking about LOL
DeleteI finally put you on my google reader...I've seen you around all the same blogs I go to, why did it take me so long?
ReplyDeleteOh, I should clarify, they get eachother with farts, not the runs....
ReplyDeleteSo funny!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought there'd be a chuckle or two from some of you! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I had so much fun reading these comments!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou are invited to follow my blog
ReplyDeleteHa!! You really started something here. :) My daughter actually told my boys "no fiber bars before you come to my house!!" (they go over once a week for dinner). She was tired of being serenaded by their... well, I guess you already know by what.
